In 2023 I was commissioned to paint a modern indigenous woman and was given free reign to use my own style in composing this painting.  Much research was involved as I tried to ensure the image and surroundings are accurate as possible.  "Chihuahuan Prayer" was the result of my research.

 It depicts a modern Isleta Pueblo woman surrounded by my interpretation of Franklin Mountains State Park in El Paso, TX.  Requests for additional work came which will continue to be added to this section of my website.  The drawings were an experiment with color pencil and traditional images.

I don't pretend to be an expert on Southwest Art.  While I use traditional images, the works themselves are not traditional.  That's why this section is called "Southwest INSPIRED Art".

 I will be adding more to this section as new works are created.  I hope you enjoy them.
